Psychological Therapies and Counselling
All psychological treatments involve listening and talking. The relationship between the people involved is important. In some therapies/counselling understanding this relationship is a crucial part of our process.
Remedial Teaching & Training for Learning Disabilities
Remedial programs are designed to close the gap between what a student knows and what he’s expected to know. The programme is an intensive, short, and focused programme that is shaped based on each child's assessment profile. Deficit areas from the assessment are identified and targeted. Improvements on tasks are known to bring about improvements in underlying cognitions and subsequently the child displays overall improvement in all areas of functioning such as academics, social interaction and behavior.
Psycho-Education
Psychoeducation combines the elements of cognitive-behavior therapy, group therapy, and education. The basic aim is to provide the patient and families knowledge about various facets of the illness and its treatment so that they can work together with mental health professionals for a better overall outcome.
Training workshops for Parent Teachers
The Parents as Teachers program is an evidence-based early childhood home visiting framework that builds strong communities, thriving families and children who are healthy, safe, and ready to learn.
Parents as Teachers certified parent educators who implement the program emphasize parent-child interaction, development centered parenting and family well-being in their work with families.
Career Counseling
Career counseling, also known as career guidance, is counseling designed to help with choosing, changing, or leaving a career and is available at any stage in life. One's career is often one of the most important aspects of adulthood, and embarking on a new career, whether for the first time, the second time, or any time thereafter, can be a stressful event, especially when economic difficulties such as recession are a factor. We provide both career counselling assessment too.
Life Skills Training
Life Skills Training (LST) is a multi-component substance abuse prevention curriculum addressing social, psychological, cognitive, and attitudinal factors associated with the use of various legal and illegal substances. LST's primary objective is to enhance the development of basic life skills, personal competence, and skills related to resistance to social influences that promote substance use.
